According to a recent interview, a 58-year-old woman from London recently identified herself as the “real victim” of Netflix’s new series, Baby Reindeer by Richard Gadd.
In the interview conducted by the Daily Mail, she said she has received “death threats” and “abuse from Richard Gadd supporters.” She also claimed he is the one stalking her by using the Tv series, as he is using television “for fame and fortune.”
“I’m the victim. He’s written a bloody show about me.” stated the woman, who declined to provide her name.
What was originally a play, and now has become a seven-episode miniseries that premiered on Netflix, where names and details were allegedly change to protect people’s identities. However, the woman pointed out similarities with the character of Martha, such as the nationality, age, criminal records and that they both studied law.
She also says she “sort of” looks like ger, but she’s not “actually unattractive”. Yikes!
Richard has claimed he disguised the person who inspired Martha’s character so well that he doesn’t think she would “recognize” herself…

The other side of the story
According to Richard Gadd, the creator, this person became obsessed with him in real life and sent him 41,071 emails, 350 hours of voicemails, 744 tweets, 46 Facebook messages, and 106 handwritten letters from 2015 to 2017.
He also said he wasn’t taken seriously because he was being stalked by a woman.
Even though he asked his followers to not speculate about who the stalker could be, the alleged real-life stalker claims the writer has “main-character syndrome”.
“He always thinks he’s at the center of things,” she continued. “I’m not writing shows about him or promoting them in the media, am I? If he wanted me to be properly anonymous, he could have done so. Gadd should leave me alone.”
