‘Who Killed Him?‘ is the series that revives the murder of the famous Mexican TV host Paco Stanley in Mexico City.

The final episode came out on the day of the 25th anniversary of the death of the Mexican presenter and in it we see how the events were experienced from the point of view of prosecutor Samuel del Villar.

Samuel del Villar was a key character behind the stories of all those involved in the case; he was in charge of carrying out the investigation and gathering all the information to find the culprit of the crime.

To this day, it is still not known exactly what happened or who was to blame, but what we do know is that the Amazon Prime Video series once again awakened the curiosity and doubts of Mexicans.

Explained Ending of ‘Who Killed Him?’

The final scene of the series is not only very shocking, but it also leaves us wondering what really happened. In the scene, prosecutor Samuel del Villar imagines his death at the hands of Rosaura Vidal, who was the alleged lover of Amado Carrillo, also known as ‘The Lord of the Skies’ or ‘El Señor de los Cielos’ in Spanish.

This is because there were some alleged meetings between Paco Stanley and Rosaura, which leads us to remember Benito Castro’s phrase ‘they killed him for messing with the wrong woman’.

Both in the series and in reality, the prosecutor was accused of falsifying evidence to accuse Mario Bezares and Paola Durante of being involved in drug trafficking.

In the series, a journalist visits Samuel and obtains information about the case that shook all of Mexico 25 years ago, although it’s not clear who it could’ve been, some people claim that it could be Carmen Aristegui or Lily Téllez Mexican journalists.

Del Villar accused drug trafficking, specifically  the Amezcua, the Amado and Arellano Félix, of wanting Paco Stanley’s death and control of Mexico City, then Mexico City, which is why in the end the prosecutor imagines his death at the hands of criminals.

He died of brain death due to the cancer he suffered for several months, leaving many wondering about the Stanley case.

The series continues to leave many unanswered questions, in fact it’s still not known what really happened, and it’s believed that both Samuel del Villar and Benito Castro took the truth to the grave.
