Peppa Pig is considered one of the most popular characters amongst children since a few years ago. The face of this little pig and her friends has been seen on thousands of promotional products: backpacks, toys, stickers, books and candies. However, very few parents and children know that behind this innocent caricatured pig lays a terrible secret.

The cartoon series tells the story of Peppa, her little brother George, and Mommy & Daddy Piggy. This series began airing on the Nick Jr. television channel almost all over the world in 2004. The episodes are approximately 5 minutes long and use a simplistic cartoon style, bright colors and everyday situations faced by parents and their young children. The fact that each story is so short and simple makes the series ideal for young children who tend to have short attention spans.
Peppa is 4 years old, her brother is 2 years old. Daddy Piggy works as an engineer and Mommy Piggy works from home on her computer while taking care of Peppa, her brother and both their friends. However, some Internet rumors say that this story is a front for something much more sinister.
Peppa Pig’s Origin Story
To ruin the childhood of anyone who grew up with this little pig and her friends, a rumor started to spread, saying that Peppa was never really a healthy little pig. She was usually sick and spent her short life in a hospital bed. One night, Peppa’s parents decided it would be better if she were put down. So that night, the little pig fell asleep and was injected with a specific kind of poison that killed her. Peppa then, dreamt of being a fairy as it was her last wish. For this reason, Peppa always chooses to dress up as a fairy when she has the chance.
Peppa’s parents could not live with the guilt of killing their daughter, so after a few months of George asking where his sister had gone, Daddy Piggy chose to kill him, then his wife, and finally proceeded to take his life.
There also exists an alternative story for another of the series’ most popular characters: Suzy The Sheep, a cheerful little friend of Peppa’s who likes to dress up as a nurse. It is actually believed that she was a very cheerful little girl who dreamed of becoming a nurse, but unfortunately she was hit by a truck while riding her bicycle and died. Her mother became depressed and became addicted to harmful substances, to the point of dying from an overdose.
Meanwhile, Mr. Zebra, who was responsible for Suzy’s death, lost his driver’s license, his job and his family and ended up living on the street. This explains why Suzy and Mr. Zebra have never been seen together in an episode.
The family of Danny, The Dog, didn’t fare much better. His grandfather took him sailing, but a storm arose and a bolt of lightning struck Grandpa, therefore leaving Danny drowned. His mother on the other hand, was killed in the garage. She was fixing the car when it suddenly malfunctioned and unfortunately killed her. Perhaps this is why in the cartoon show, Danny’s mother is never seen in the garage and why Grandpa avoids taking Danny in the boat most times.
Madame Gazelle accidentally burned down her school while baking cookies for the children; and Peppa’s grandfather died when Peppa’s tree house fell on him while he was in the garden. Grandma was the last to die, since she was rumored to be schizophrenic and it is imagined that all her loved ones are doing well, which is why she does not participate in the animated series.
