Were you born in the 90s? Then it is certain that you grew up with some of the most epic cartoons that have ever existed, and one of them was undoubtedly The Fairly OddParents. This amazing show was launched by Nickelodeon in 2001 and was so successful that the Butch Hartman-led production stopped airing until 2017.
For 16 years, the cartoon became a favorite of thousands, young and old, who enjoyed the adventures of Timmy Turner and his amazing OddParents. The cartoon had more than 170 episodes and a total of 10 seasons, during which we got to know the story of Timmy, a 10-year-old boy who had a pair of magical godparents willing to fulfill his every wish.

The Terrifying True Story Behind The Fairly OddParents
The Fairly OddParents, a cartoon that would seem to be innocent, actually hides a terrifying story behind it that will undoubtedly ruin your childhood. According to Hartman, the creator of the series, the cartoon was inspired by a child with schizophrenia to create the main character.
Because his illness was very advanced, the little boy, who spent hours talking to himself, began to suffer bullying attacks from his classmates, which soon aggravated his condition. For this reason, and unable to find any other apparent remedy, his parents decided to admit him to a psychiatric center, where the young boy found no other way to overcome his loneliness than by creating a pair of magical godparents who always accompanied him.
Denzel Crocker‘s character, the teacher who always tried to ruin Timmy’s plans, would actually be his psychiatrist! This is as shocking as the episode in which we realize that Timmy has been a young boy for 50 years after asking that everybody stop aging!
