Spanish singer Alejandro Sanz has launched a special t-shirt (available at all of his “La Gira” Tour concerts in the United States and his Charity Stars website), in support of Dreamers, undocumented immigrants who came to the United States accompanying their parents at a very young age and lived most of their lives outside of the country where they were born.
Singers like Ricky Martin, Camilla Bello, Laura Pausini, Jesse and Joy, Juanes, Ricardo Montaner, Luis Fonsi, Juan Luis Guerra, Residente and football stars like Dani Alves have all posted photos of themselves on their Instagram accounts sporting the black shirts that read #DREAMERS.
As per the Charity Stars website, in a letter signed by Sanz, all funds raised by the sales of this shirt will directly support the ongoing efforts of Ascend Educational Fund (which provides scholarships), Dream Big Nevada (with provides DREAMERS with a “DACA Renewal Fund,” a complicated legal process necessary for Deferred Action) and Immigrants Rising (which helps entrepreneurship).
“I’m joining my friend @AlejandroSanz on this great initiative to support the #Dreamers in the US” posted singer Ricky Martin on his instagram account. “By purchasing this t-shirt http://www.CharityStars.com/Alejandro you can be part of our #DreamerTeam too. Because #WeAllDream. We all belong. We are all one. And EVERYONE matters. Funds raised will help three amazing charities support the Dreamers education & future. Together we can let them know that their dreams matter – to us. Thank you!”
