Kali Uchis on Oquídeas (Orquids)
Karly Marina Loaiza, better known as Kali Uchis, explained that she named her new album that way because “we have more species of orchids than any other place in the world.”
“I have always felt particularly intrigued and attracted to this flower. The album is inspired by the timeless, mysterious, mystical, powerful, graceful, and sensual qualities of the orchid. With this wide range of energy and freshness, I wish to redefine the way Latina women are seen in the music industry,” she added.
