Peso Pluma has once again confirmed why he is currently the most important Mexican artist, and we’re not the ones saying it, the Guinness World Record he just broke speaks for itself.
Believe it or not, the native of Jalisco, Mexico, has become the most viewed Latin artist on YouTube, achieving 8.5 billion views during the past year.
The digit is incredible and is a testament to the fact that the interpreter of “corridos tumbados” had a remarkable 2023, because we should remember he also positioned himself as the most-streamed Latin artist in 2023 on Spotify.
It is worth mentioning that his new Guinness record is due to the release of “Ella Baila Sola” and “La Bebe (Remix),” songs that managed to take the third and fourth place, respectively, within the top 10 best songs of the year on YouTube.

Peso Pluma made history at Coachella
Peso Pluma paid a moving tribute to Mexico during his performance at the 2024 US Coachella festival.
With a spectacular visual display, Doble P’s introduction not only featured narration by the legendary actor Morgan Freeman but also images of legendary figures from regional Mexican music such as: Chalino Sánchez, Joan Sebastián, Ramón Ayala, El Halcón de la Sierra, Ramón Massiaca, Tucanes de Tijuana, Los Intocables del Norte, among others.
During his performance he did not forget several of his friends, as he invited Becky G, Junior H, and Santa Fe Klan to the stage.
