“I can’t believe I’m writing these words, but with a shattered heart that I say we lost a fan earlier tonight before my show. I can’t even tell you how devastated I am by this. There’s very little information I have other than the fact that she was so incredibly beautiful and far too young,” Taylor wrote in an Instagram story.
The young woman was identified as Ana Benevides, 23. She was a student of Psychology at the Federal University of Rondonópolis.
What Happened to Taylor Swift Fan Ana Benevides?
Through social networks, several videos were shared complaining that inside the venue they were not selling drinks, not even water, despite the hot weather. Then word spread that a young woman had died, and later Taylor Swift confirmed it.
There are not so many details of what happened, but, according to EFE, Ana died after “receiving a heat stroke before the first concert she gave this Friday (November 17) in Rio de Janeiro”. The young woman began to present severe discomfort and had to be taken to a hospital. Unfortunately, she arrived lifeless, and the doctors verified that she died due to cardiorespiratory arrest.

However, things did not stop there. The Brazilian government announced that an investigation would be carried out for possible negligence due to the “lack of water in concerts,” as this could have been the reason for this tragedy.
