Voice actress Rachael Lillis, known for voicing some of the characters in the iconic Pokémon cartoon series, has passed away due to the terrible breast cancer she fought until the end.

The actress’s sister, who was caring for her, announced the news that Rachael had passed away last Saturday while she was sleeping “without pain.”
“It was just this past week that she was starting to decline. This was unexpected and we are completely grief-stricken. We ask for peace, for now, as her family grieves this loss,” she said.
Veronica Taylor, Rachael’s “Pokémon” co-star who famously voiced Ash Ketchum in the beloved series, paid tribute to the late star on Instagram Monday.

“I was fortunate to know Rachael as a friend. Her kindness and compassion knew no bounds, even in her final days,” Veronica expressed how much the outpouring of love and support from fans meant to Rachael during her fight against cancer.

She was born on July 8, 1978, in Niagara Falls, New York, she became well-known for her work in various theater productions, independent films, and animated series.
Lillis appeared in multiple Pokémon movies, such as “Pokémon: The First Movie,” “Pokémon: The Movie 2000,” and “Mewtwo Returns.”
Her talent extended beyond Pokémon, as she lent her voice to various other projects, including video games and anime series.
She voiced Jigglypuff in Nintendo’s popular “Super Smash Brothers” fighting game series.
