“Argentina, Paraguay, and Uruguay will host the three opening matches of the 2030 World Cup, but the rest of the competition will be held at the venue made up of Spain, Portugal and Morocco in an unprecedented event. Chile is out of the 2030 World Cup
Let’s remember that Chile was also one of the countries involved, which surprised all soccer fans when it was not mentioned in the announcement. However, the president explained that for this to be a reality, they will work with this country so that it is ready to host a World Cup match.
“In reality, originally, there was only talk of two countries: Uruguay and Argentina. Later the World Cup was expanded from 32 to 48 and Paraguay was added in that context. And later Chile joined. It is true that on this occasion Chile is not there, but that does not mean that we are not going to work so that Chile is there or we find something of this stature for it as well. It is a decision that is made by FIFA, not us. We can propose and they are the ones who determine how and what,” explained Domínguez.
