Eight people were injured, with victims ranging in age from 52 to 88. One person remains in critical condition. Who Is Mohamed Sabry Soliman? A Deeper Look Into the Colorado Attack Suspect
The suspect in the Colorado attack has been identified as a 45-year-old Egyptian national. According to immigration records, Soliman entered the U.S. in August 2022 on a temporary visa, which expired in early 2023. He overstayed and had been living illegally in Colorado Springs.

While Soliman had applied for asylum and was briefly granted work authorization, his legal status was unclear at the time of the attack. Reports suggest he may have worked as an accountant at Veros Health, although this remains unverified. In 2005, Soliman had previously been denied a visa to enter the United States.

FBI Confirms the Attack Was Ideologically Motivated
Authorities—including the FBI—have now classified the Colorado attack as an ideologically driven act of terrorism. Officials emphasized that Soliman’s violent outburst was not random: it targeted demonstrators advocating for Israel, suggesting a clear political and religious motive.
Statements made by Soliman—such as “How many children you killed” and “We have to end Zionists”—are now central to the terrorism investigation. These declarations, combined with his choice of target and method of attack, align with the legal definitions of domestic terrorism.

Soliman is currently being held at Boulder County Jail on a $10 million bond. He faces multiple terrorism-related charges, including first-degree murder, assault, and the use of incendiary weapons. Investigators are now combing through his digital history, immigration records, and possible affiliations.
Authorities are also working to determine whether he acted alone or had connections to extremist networks. Given the deliberate nature of the Colorado attack, officials are treating it as a potential hate crime and terrorist incident.
