Former President Donald Trump teased a possible 2024 run at the Conservative Political Action Conference, as he delivered his first public speech since leaving the White House.
“Hello CPAC, do you miss me yet? Do you miss me yet?” Trump was greeted by his followers with a standing ovation as he took the stage and said that “our movement of proud, hard-working American patriots is just getting started… and in the end we will win!”
Trump went on to deliver his usual baseless claims that he won the past presidential election, and the crowd was loving it.
“Actually, as you know they just lost the White House, but who knows, who knows, I might even decide to beat them for a third time.”
He also bashed the Supreme Court for not taking action, the same Supreme Court that has 3 justices that Trump himself picked and put on the high court.
“This election was rigged, and the Supreme Court and other courts didn’t want to do anything about it. They didn’t have the courage, the Supreme Court, they didn’t have the courage to act.”
Seems like he’s still pretty upset about losing. Trump also made clear that he’s not creating a new party, as some rumors have suggested.
“You know they kept saying: ‘He’s going to start a brand new party,’ we have the Republican party, it’s going to unite and be stronger than ever before. I am not starting a new party. That was fake news.
Trump also took shots at the Biden administration, harshly criticizing their immigration reforms and their decision to rejoin the World Health Organization and the Paris Climate Agreement. “We all knew the Biden administration was going to be bad, but none of us even imagined just how bad they would be.”
Trump laid low for a while at the Mar-a-Lago resort in Florida, but now that he’s been acquitted, it seems like the same old Trump is back.
