Ill Abilities is composed of eight dancers from various nationalities, all of whom have some form of motor disability. Since 2007, they have set out to break down all prejudices. The crew members are: Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli, Redouan “Redo” Ait Chitt, Jung So “Krops” Lee, Tommy “Guns” Ly, Jacob “Kujo” Lyons, Samuel Henrique “Samuka” da Silveira, Sergio “Checho” Carvajal, and Lucas “Perninha” Machado.

In addition to being Breakdancing experts, these young performers also dedicate their lives to giving motivational talks and workshops, where they offer advice and share personal stories of how they overcame obstacles throughout their lives.
This crew originated from an idea by Luca “Lazylegz” Patuelli to create an all-star team of some of the world’s best differently-abled dancers to show the world that anything is possible.
“The crew gets its name from the standard in hip-hop culture of using a negative term to refer to something positive. Examples of this can be heard in studios or at competitions where dancers compliment each other by saying they were bad, nasty or mean. The “ill” in ILL-ABILITIES™ does not refer to “sick” or “unwell” but rather to incredible, amazing, intricate, talent.”
Rather than seeing the negative limitations of “disability”, this crew focuses on their positive, or “ill”, abilities
Interestingly, this crew of breakdancers also performed at Paris 2024, they were part of the show that inaugurated this remarkable sport on the Olympic stage.
