If you’re thinking, “Can dogs really talk?”, you’re not alone! Most of us would answer with a big “Nope,” but in Alexis Devine’s house, the answer’s a little different—because her Sheepadoodle, Bunny, is actually having conversations! This is the story of Bunny, the dog who learned to talk.

Ok, so Bunny isn’t talking like you and me. But her owner, 41-year-old artist Alexis Devine, found a genius workaround: she trained Bunny to use a system of buttons that “speak” words when pressed. Alexis started small, teaching Bunny to recognize and press buttons for things like “play,” “food,” and “outside.”

But over the years, she’s added more than 100 buttons, unlocking new words and letting Bunny build some seriously complex sentences. Things have gotten so deep, Bunny’s even started questioning her own existence!

Bunny’s story blew up on TikTok, where Alexis shares clips of their adorable, sometimes mind-bending, interactions with over 8.5 million followers. The whole thing started innocently enough—simple words, simple requests.

But Bunny’s vocab grew fast, and soon she was stringing words together in ways that had everyone hooked. Today, Bunny’s doing way more than asking for snacks; she’s reached a level where she seems to be asking life’s big questions.

The Existential Sheepadoodle: Is Bunny Wondering Why She’s Here?

One of the wildest moments came when Bunny started staring at herself in the mirror. After one of her self-reflection sessions (literally), Bunny asked Alexis the question that shook everyone: “Why am I a dog?” Yep, you read that right. Bunny the Sheepadoodle is in her existential era, giving us serious “who am I” vibes. And if you think it stops there, think again—Bunny’s also dropped questions about death.

Bunny’s Fans Are Both Obsessed and a Little Freaked Out

Bunny’s journey has captivated and, honestly, kinda freaked out her fans. Watching her press buttons to ask things like “when will I die?”—after overhearing her owner talk about death—has everyone wondering: do other dogs have these same thoughts but just can’t express them? Or did Bunny’s button system actually trigger a level of consciousness?

So, what do you think? Is Bunny just really smart, or did she unlock something deeper?
