Did the three wise men practice polyamory? There is a historical explanation

Dear Three Wise Men, we behaved very well this year, so we would like to know why they say they practiced polyamory… There are many rumors that these characters had a relationship because they slept in the same bed, well, that’s how they were portrayed in the Middle Ages. However, there is a historical explanation as to why they did it and you might be surprised why.

Why Did the Three Wise Men Sleep in the Same Bed?

Although many people unleashed a strange theory that the Three Wise Men were polyamorous because of the images of that time, the reality is that practically, they did it out of necessity. It turns out that in the Middle Ages, before heating and so on came into our lives, people had to find ways to reduce the tremendous cold. It was then that the practice of sleeping with more people arose, without any loving objective. Entire families were piled up on a single mattress and if there were guests, they were welcome.

Well, some did take advantage of it to be in the arms of their sweethearts, because regularly, servants slept with their lovers and strangers had to share a bed when they went on trips. Beds are practically a new concept, since before, when night fell, people would gather in a room and lie down on blankets or cloaks. Some formed a kind of mattress or pillow with hay, but that was at best. So no, the Three Wise Men did not practice polyamory, they were just cold

The Three Wise Men are revered characters in Christian tradition, especially in the celebration of the Epiphany. According to tradition, they are three wise men or wise men who visited the baby Jesus after his birth, bringing symbolic gifts: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Their names as they are known worldwide are Melchor, Gaspar, and Baltasar. The story is based on the biblical account from the Gospels, although the specific details are not written in the Bible.
