The plane, a Boeing 777-300ER with 211 passengers and 18 crew members, suffered severe damage to the interior of the cabin and had to be diverted to the city of Bangkok in Thailand. Several videos have been shared on social media, showing some of what passengers and crew suffered during the turbulence.
In the images you can see how the interior of the plane was destroyed, some pockets of oxygen that fell during the turbulence and multiple things lying on the ground, in addition to the roof of the cabin is detached in the area where the crew travels, with cables and tubes exposed.

The airline confirmed one person dead and at least 30 injured during the flight
Through a statement, Singapore Airlines confirmed what happened and indicated that during the flight there was serious turbulence that left one dead on board and several injured, it also offered condolences to the family of the deceased.
Once the flight made an emergency landing in Bankok, the multiple injured were treated by emergency services already waiting for them on the ground and were taken to nearby hospitals for medical attention.

So far, unofficially, it is said that the deceased person was part of the crew, but this has not been confirmed by either the authorities or the airline itself. Despite the fact that the tragic incident occurred due to the strong turbulence, an investigation will be opened to clarify what happened and determine the cause of death of the deceased person.
