I don’t know you guys, but for me April Fool’s Day is that day of the year when I’m fully aware that anything could be a prank and still I keep falling for them (Fun fact, we Latinos have two different dates for pranks since December 28th has a similar connotation in Hispanic countries).
Today hasn’t been the exception and I can surely say that I’ve already fallen for more than a dozen minor pranks on social media, the internet, and a couple ones in real life. Of course, some of the biggest pranksters out there are no other than our beloved celebrities, who make use of their huge platforms to break the hearts of millions (including me) who naively believe anything they say. From making us being overly hyped thinking Billie Eilish was coming to my town, to tons of websites claiming the royal baby had been born already, or even Justin Bieber’s photo of a sonogram, it seems that social media has become the best spot to bring out your inner prankster, and celebs know exactly how to do it. I mean, wouldn’t it had been such a juicy gossip that the Biebers were having a baby after all the divorce rumors and his alleged infatuation with Selena Gomez? I should’ve known better though, too good the tea to be true.
