MAC Cosmetics just announced that the new collection will include a lipgloss in a cute, sparkly pink shade, under the name of “Bidi Bidi Bom Bom.” The reason to launch the set this year is to remember the Tejano star, who died 25 years ago.
But this is not the first time that MAC Cosmetics honors the famous singer. They also released a makeup collection four years ago that tried to recreate the Latina queen’s look with bold red lipstick, pink eyeshadow, and beige blush, according to Selena’s sister Suzette Quintanilla, who is in charge of curating the collection. This time, she says, it aims to be a celebration of Selena’s legacy and of Latinas too.
The cosmetics brand hasn’t shared many details about the new collection, but we are sure that it will sell as fast as the first one, which started with an online petition by more than 37,000 fans.
