After a cardiac final, Harnaaz Sandhu from India got to be on the top three and finally received the gorgeous diamond crown that made her the winner.
After competing against Lalela Lali from South Africa and Nadia Ferreira from Paraguay, the great winner of this 70th edition was Miss India, Harnaaz Sandhu, who was crowned by Mexican Andrea Meza in the city of Eilat, Israel.
Who is Harnaaz Sandhu?
Harnaaz Sandhu, now Miss Universe 2021, was born on March 3, 2000, in the city of Chandigarh, India.
During her childhood, she suffered from school bullying due to her thin complexion.

She studied at Shivalik Public School in Chandigarh, and currently, at 21 years of age, she is pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration.
One of her greatest goals is to become a great actress and model in her country in order to be an inspiration to all young women in the world, as well as to empower them.
On her way to achieve her dream, she is the protagonist of the feature films “Yaara Diyan Poo Baran” and “Bai Ji Kuttange”, filmed in northern India and which will have their grand premiere in 2022
In 2017 she earned the title of “TIMES FRESH FACE”, Miss Chandigarh 2017, which led her to represent her city nationally in India.

A year later, she was awarded the title of Miss “MAX EMERGING STAR 2018”, thanks to her attitudes and skills in acting, which also led to her winning a free photoshoot with the Indian fashion and commercial photographer, Dabboo Ratnani.
That same year, she won the “Miss Diva” pageant in her native Chandigarh and was recognized as the third most desired woman in the same city.
In October 2021 she was crowned “Miss Diva 2021” in India, whereupon she won the right to represent India at Miss Universe 2021.
According to some statements that Harnaaz Sandhu commented on during her participation in Miss Universe, the woman who inspires him the most in the world is her mother.
She captivated the jury for both her way of taking the stage and for her beauty.
Harnaaz Sandhu is the third Hindu to win the Miss Universe title.
