Pete Davidson is a name that’s been constantly making the tabloids as the new romantic partner of Kim Kardashian, who has made the relationship official on Instagram, and Kanye West’s target for threats and hate. However, despite the ups and downs, SNL’s star seems to be living his best life. Now, he’s been announced as the next guest in the crew of the fourth Blue Origin’s human space travel.
Last month, Pete and Kim were spotted as guests at a dinner party at Jeff Bezos home in Los Angeles, this sparked rumors that the King of Staten Island was being considered to be part of the next Blue Origin launch, being this the baby project of Amazon’s CEO, Jeff Bezos. Well, it seems rumors were true since it has just been announced that the comedian has been confirmed as the ‘honorary guest’ on the mission. He’s the only one of the six people that will go on the voyage that won’t be paying for the experience.
The mission will be the fourth one with human passengers and the twentieth flight of Blue Origin’s New Shepard program. The big launch is scheduled for next March 23 at 8:30 a.m. at the Blue Origin Launch Site One in Texas and it’ll be all streamed live through the official website of Blue Origin.
Davidson is the third celebrity that will travel to space following the Star Trek legend William Shatner, who at 90 years old became the oldest person in space and the former NFL player Michael Strahan. The idea behind having celebrities as honorary guests is to promote Blue Origin’s program and draw media attention also to inspire new generations into careers focused on space traveling.

Pete Davidson will be joined by influencing paying passengers like Marty Allen, CEO of Party America, the real estate mogul Marc Hagle and his wife, alongside the founder of SpaceKids global, a professor from the University of North Carolina, and the president of Commercial Space Technologies.
According to previous missions, the trip lasts only about eleven minutes, of which passengers experience four of weightlessness while they’re passing through the edge of space with an approximate altitude of over 65 miles.
The 28-year-old comedian recently appeared as an astronaut on a skit on SNL alongside Miley Cyrus and SpaceX founder Elon Musk. It’s said that Pete Davidson has always expressed a desire to travel to space, and in less than two weeks he will be fulfilling that life dream.
