If you never win a fight with your couple, maybe it’s time for you to start using AI. In the age of technology, couples are finding a new way to resolve the drama: artificial intelligence.
With the rise of AI tools like ChatGPT, some partners are turning to these digital mediators to help them win arguments and gain the upper hand in disagreements.
There are some Reddit users sharing their experiences using AI and specifically ChatGPT for relationship advices which in some how is good to have someone or something that can help you regulate your emotions on moments that feel really dramatic. However, not all of the experiences are good.
AI Can Now Save Relationships… Or Making Them Worse

One Reddit user shared their experience of their girlfriend using ChatGPT EVERY TIME they have a disagreement.
“Each time we argue my girlfriend will go away and discuss the argument with chat gpt, even doing so in the same room sometimes,” the user said.
She would discuss the argument with the AI, which would then provide her with “well-constructed arguments” to counter her partner’s points. This has led to feelings of frustration and a sense of being ambushed with responses from a machine.

“I’ve explained to her that i don’t like her doing so as it can feel like i’m being ambushed with thoughts and opinions from a robot. My big issue is it’s her formulating the prompts so if she explains that i’m in the wrong, it’s going to agree without me having a chance to explain things.”
She also even make them feel bad when telling them things like “chat gpt says you’re insecure” or “chat gpt says you don’t have the emotional bandwidth to understand what i’m saying”.
Many commenters on the Reddit thread noted that AI responses are also often biased based on the user’s input and can reinforce one-sided perspectives, which means that as the AI doesn’t have the two sides POV, the responses can be really unbalanced.

So… in this case the ChatGPT is not really helpful for the couple to solve the problem but it can even just get things worse.
While AI can offer structured and logical arguments, it lacks the emotional intelligence and empathy required for resolving conflicts in relationships sometimes, and specially if it just focus on continuing an argument or doesn’t provide both sides. But what would you ask ChatGPT about your current or past relationships?
