It’s unbelievable that in this day and age, people still feel the need to judge, harass, and hurt people for their appearance. The case of Richard Huff, a self-called “ink addict” is proof of how some people feel entitled to comment on the looks and appearance of others on social media without caring if it’s hurting or if it can cause them real problems.
51-year-old Richard Huff has been called a “monster” and has been deemed a bad father only because he has 85% of his body covered in tattoos. The father of seven has over 240 tattoos and is willing to fill his entire body with ink regardless of people’s opinions.

Still, the constant online harassment is hard to endure, especially when it comes to his children and how it can affect them. On his social networks, Huff and his wife Marita, who also loves tattoos, have openly talked about the prejudices they have to deal with daily. And although they’re constantly told that they shouldn’t be allowed to raise their children, they’ve proven they’re exceptional parents to their seven kids.
“Having tattoos does not scare my children, it does not make me a bad father, it makes my kids get a different perspective on life,” said Huff in one of his videos. Although they don’t agree with it, the couple understands where the hatred comes from, social prejudice. Marita even confessed that she also had some reservations when she met Richard: “I did judge Richard based on his looks at first, but as I got to know him a little bit, he is actually a big-hearted person.”

“How could you choose ‘a monster’ to be your child’s father?” is one of the most common comments Marita receives on social media. However, the Huffs are a very typical and loving family. “I participate in the PTA, I go to all my kids’ functions,” shared Richard Huff. “This is what we did, and we’re happy. We’ve been together six years, our kids are happy, and to us, that’s all that matters,” he concluded.
