Love is still in the air and Simone Biles could confirm so. The Olympic gold medalist and Jonathan Owens, the Houston Texans safety, are engaged to be married, as both confirmed on Instagram.
Simone posted a series of photos of the right moment when Owens goes down on one knee and surprises her with a diamond ring.
“THE EASIEST YES,” Biles wrote. “I can’t wait to spend forever & ever with you, you’re everything I dreamed of and more! let’s get married FIANCÉ @jowens_3.”
The ring has an oval-cut diamond as the centerpiece and features a diamond-encrusted band. It is unknown the price of this gorgeous piece of jewelry.
Owens commented on the post, “Ready for forever with you ❤️” and share a couple of more pictures stating that Simone didn’t suspect at all of the proposal.
Simone Biles and Jonathan Owes relationship
The couple made their relationship official in August 2020 when both posted a pair of pictures of the two together.
When they celebrated their first anniversary, Biles was competing in the Tokyo Olympics, but Jonathan kept sending her good vibes and much love through Instagram posts.
Both started dating a month after Simone broke up with her then-boyfriend Stacey Ervin Jr., with whom she had been in a relationship since 2017.
The athlete has said that she found Owen to be the perfect partner because he goes through the same professionally speaking, and both find support and comfort in each other in difficult times.
