These are some spring cocktail recipe ideas to cool you during the upcoming warm months.
Cherry Blossom
This cherry cocktail is the one to celebrate spring. It’s said that this cocktail is often used to celebrate this Japanese flower, and that’s why sake is used to be prepared, however, there are many other ways to prepare this cocktail, using gin, vodka, or tequila.
The ingredients you’ll need are:
– 3 Cherries
– 2 oz Sake
– 1 oz Vodka
– 0.5 oz Orange Juice
– 0.3 oz Lemon Juice
– 0.3 oz Grenadine Syrup
– mint leaves
How to prepare it:
Pit the three cherries and crush them together with the grenadine syrup in a shaker thin. Add Sake, Vodka, OJ and lemon Juice. Of course, shake well with a good amount of ice.
Fill a glass with ice and strain shaker contents into the glass.
The Rose Garden
This cocktail is a perfectly balanced fusion of sweet and sour. While the rose syrup adds a floral taste, the cucumber and lemon juice make this cocktail a fresh and moreish one. Once again, you can choose using tequila or gin, however you’ll need to prepare your own rose syrup.
Ingredients:
– 2 oz of Gin
– 1 oz Homemade rose sugar syrup
– 1 oz Fresh Lemon Juice
– 10 slices of cucumber
– Dash of Soda
Rose Sugar Syrup:
– 2 oz water
– 140g caster sugar
– 0.16 oz rose essence
Toss your ingredients into a cocktail shaker with ice, shake until the shaker is frosty on the outside, strain into a glass with fresh ice.
Tequila Honeysuckle
A floral and fresh Margarita variation with honey instead of sweet and sour, being a simple and smooth springtime cocktail.
Ingredients:
– 2 oz Tequila
– .75 oz Honey Syrup
– .75 oz Lime Juice
– Ice cubes
Add the ice to the shaker and combine the ingredients, strain the mixture into a glass and garnish with lime wedge.
Deep Cleanse
A healthy and deep cleanse cocktail that will boost your immune system; besides it’s refreshing and delicious with ingredients such as aloe vera juice, cucumber and lime juice, making it perfect for rehydrating.
Ingredients:
– 1.5 oz Gin
– 2 oz Aloe Vera Juice
– .5 oz simple syrup
– 3 slices of cucumber
– Squeeze a fresh lime
Muddle cucumber and simple syrup, add the rest of the ingredients, and shake. Serve up in a cocktail glass and garnish with a cucumber slice.
Mezcal Pineapple Sour
A fresh cocktail with earthy notes and natural sugars found within the pineapple juice while the lemon juice brings balance to this cocktail.
Ingredients:
– 1.5 oz Mezcal
– .5 oz fresh pineapple juice
– .75 oz lemon juice
– .75 oz agave honey
– 1 egg white for the foam on top.
Add all the ingredients to the cocktail shaker and shake until the mixture is foamy. Add ice to the shaker and shake again, finally strain into a chilled coupe and garnish with a few dashes of bitters on top of the foam.
