The construction of the world’s largest cruise ship has been completed, and it has already carried out its first tests before setting sail on the open sea for the first time. It’s a monster.
The Icon of The Seas will embark on its maiden voyage in the Eastern and Western Caribbean Sea from Miami in early 2024, and will actually pass through Mexico, to Quintana Roo.

1. It Can Almost Fit a Standard Music Hall
The ship has 2805 cabins. It will have a capacity for 5,610 passengers and 2,350 crew members; in other words, it can accommodate almost 8,000 people.

It will have amenities such as a water park with six slides that will break speed records, as well as seven swimming pools and nine hydro-massage bathtubs on board.
3. Much Larger Than the Titanic

8. A Fire Was Reported Earlier in the Year
In February 2023, a fire was reported in one of the stairwells on the Icon of the Seas cruise ship. The fire alarm sounded at around 10 am and, as a precautionary measure, the 2,500 workers on board were evacuated. The fire was quickly contained and extinguished by the shipyard’s own fire department.
9. They Are Taking All the Necessary Precautions
As we have already told you, the first sea trials have already been carried out, but a second series of evaluations is planned for the end of 2023.

Sales have broken records, according to Royal Caribbean.
