It seemed that Amber Heard had lost everything after the intense trial against Johnny Depp, but it was not so. The actress is back as Mera in Aquaman 2: The Lost Kingdom, and it’s not just rumored, it’s already more than confirmed.

During the exhibitors’ convention in Las Vegas, the production company announced that they did not eliminate the character of Mera and presented the first trailer of the film, where Amber has a small participation. In the trailer, you can barely see Johnny Depp’s ex-partner, but a couple of images were already released where she dazzled with a new look.

Mera (Amber Heard) said goodbye to the vibrant red tone of her hair; now it is blonde, which matches perfectly with her golden suit with which she looks gorgeous.

Fans Reject Amber Heard as Mera in Aquaman 2

Amber’s return was not to everyone’s liking. After confirming her participation in Aquaman 2, several fans expressed their disagreement arguing that she was given preference for being a woman while Johnny had all doors closed. They pointed out that the Hollywood industry should be more equitable in such situations, regardless of gender, as they cannot know if what the actress said is true or false.

“If it were the other way around, they wouldn’t allow a man to come back, they would cancel his whole career;” “give him back his Jack Sparrow character;” “This movie will be a failure, we support Johnny Deep,” can be read among the comments.

The Controversial Trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp

Almost a year ago, we witnessed the controversial trial of Amber Heard and Johnny Depp, where the judges ruled in favor of the actor. The celebrity accused his ex-partner of defamation after Amber published an article where she claimed to have been a victim of different types of violence by him.

Both lost out in several aspects, from economic to labor. Fans asked Warner Bros. to leave Amber out of Aquaman because of what happened with Johnny, which evidently did not happen.
