Apple unveiled its new iPhone SE, a low-cost version of its phone, and with a wink to past models, with chunky bezels and a friendlier price.
This third-generation iPhone SE has subtle improvements at first glance, but all of these make them much more powerful.
The 2022 SE model adds sub-6GHz 5G, along with the A15 Bionic in the iPhone 13 series.
As for the display, it keeps it small with a 4.7-inch screen with chunky bezels just like the 2017 iPhone.
It has a 12-megapixel f/1.8 camera and now Deep Fusion and HDR 4 are included, offering high-contrast pictures and noise reduction, both features included on the iPhone 13.
This latest iPhone keeps the IP67 rating for water resistance and, just like older versions, includes a Touch ID sensor instead of a face recognition sensor.
All these improvements come with a price. The 2022 iPhone SE starts at $429 for the base 64GB, 100 dollars higher than the last version. If you want a good phone without going bankrupt, pre-orders start this Friday, March 11th, with shipping starting March 18th.
