However, many pets, especially dogs, have also suffered, as many have been left behind due to forgetfulness, indifference, or because their owners couldn’t take them with them, leaving them trapped in their homes and waiting for someone to pick them up and take them to safety.

But one man, who has moved social media, went viral for his reaction after being helped to rescue “his four children”, which actually referred to his four dogs who had been trapped in his house. He couldn’t take them with him when evacuating and was very worried about leaving them behind.

Despite being hindered from going himself because he had a colostomy bag and couldn’t get wet, he didn’t care and ventured to accompany and assist the rescuers in getting his “children” to safety.
