The fact that the majority of the planet’s population currently lives in cities means that many phenomena of natural life go unnoticed, and sometimes, only a few images can make us realize the wonders that occur daily.
Even so, some unprecedented scenes can be captured as a product of chance, as in the case of an image that has become vital on the Internet, and that the amateur photographer Martin Le-Ma took when he was taking a walk with his wife in Hornchurch, Country Park, east London. The scene is very nice and surprising. The weasel is in love with the woodpecker, holding onto her neck as if she already knew what he did. For its part, the woodpecker behaves very well in flight, although somewhat rigid.
It should be noted that according to statements by wildlife expert Lucy Cooke for the BBC, the weasel is usually very wild, which is probably why the woodpecker decided to take its flight with it on its back without much objection.
