Sad reports in the Hollywood world, Speed Racer actor Christian Oliver, whose real name was Christian Klepser (51), reportedly passed alongside his two young daughters in a tragic plane crash.
According to reports, the Valkyrie actor was traveling with his two daughters, Madita (10) and Annik (12), from the Grenadine island of Bequia to St. Lucia in the Caribbean. To do the short trip Oliver’s family used a small single-engine jet.
Sadly, shortly after the plane took off Thursday afternoon, it had some “unexplained” issues, which eventually caused the jet to crash into the ocean. According to the Royal St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force, Oliver, his daughters, and the pilot were the only passengers in the aircraft.
Authorities have identified Robert Sachs as the pilot and owner of the small plane. Right after the plane crash was reported, the local authorities launched a rescue team to assist the passengers. The squad was also assisted by divers and fishermen; however, the crash was fatal and all four passengers died immediately.
“Fishermen and divers from Paget Farm went to the scene of the incident in their boats to render assistance,” reported the St. Vincent and the Grenadines Police Force. After some time, they recovered all four bodies.
The cause of the accident is still under investigation. However, local reports claim that the pilot communicated to the tower that the aircraft was having some problems and wanted to turn back. Sadly, the communication went off shortly after the message, and the next thing they knew was that the plane had plunged into the sea.

Born in Germany, Christian Oliver is mostly known for his roles in the movies Speed Racer and Valkyrie. He was highly praised for his job in The Good German directed by Steven Soderbergh, and starred by Cate Blanchet and George Clooney.
In his home country, he gained popularity with the action series Alarm for Cobra 11 where he worked for two years. His latest gig was the Indiana Jones sequel, The Dial of Destiny. Just a couple of weeks ago, Oliver managed to wrap up shooting the movie Forever Hold Your Peace, which will be his last film.
