Kate Middleton has broken her silence, after she went public with her cancer diagnosis and announced that she is undergoing chemotherapy treatment.
The Princess of Wales is the second member of the Royal Family to be battling this type of disease, after the prostate cancer currently being faced by King Charles III.
I have been blown away by all the kind messages of support and encouragement over the last couple of months. It really has made the world of difference to William and me and has helped us both through some of the harder times.

On her social networks, Kate Middleton has published an extensive statement of thanks in which she assures that the messages received in recent months. “It has really made a big difference” and they have helped both William and the princess through these difficult times.
“I am making good progress, but as anyone going through chemotherapy will know, there are good days and bad days. On those bad days you feel weak, tired and you have to give in to your body resting. But on the good days, when you feel stronger, you want to make the most of feeling well.” she wrote.
This is Kate Middleton’s first official statement, after making her state of health public last March, after strict public scrutiny by the media in her country and internationally that speculated all kinds of theories about the absence of the wife of the heir to the Crown.

The princess also shared brief details of her illness and how she deals with them on a day-to-day basis. “My treatment is ongoing and will be for a few more months. On days when I’m feeling pretty good, it’s a pleasure to get involved with school life, to spend personal time on the things that give me energy and positivity, as well as to start working a little bit from home.”
Kate Middleton also referred to her absence from Trooping the Colour: The Colonel’s Review, the event that proceeds to the Trooping the Colour parade, in celebration of the king’s birthday.
“I’m looking forward to attending The King’s Birthday Parade this weekend with my family and hope to join a few public engagements over the summer, but equally knowing I am not out of the woods yet.”

“I am learning how to be patient, especially with uncertainty. Taking each day as it comes, listening to my body, and allowing myself to take this much needed time to heal” she added.
Prince William’s wife also thanked those who have expressed their support by sharing their stories battling the disease. Kate shared the message accompanied by a rare photograph: it should be remembered that amid speculation about her state of health, the princes shared an edited photo that was the subject of criticism and had to be removed by press agencies around the world.
