We all remember Frankie Muniz for his role in Malcolm in the Middle, the times he made us laugh, cry, and even get annoyed (let’s be honest, Malcolm’s character could be irritating at times), but he left a mark not only on our hearts but on several generations who had the opportunity to watch the show and get to know the Wilkerson (or Nolastname) family. LOL.
Anyway, from rumors about Frankie Muniz’s memory loss to Dewey’s departure from the industry, “Malcolm” is a milestone in culture, and now Frankie has made statements that break the heart.

Frankie Muniz Makes Heartbreaking Statements
As we all know, being a child in the film and television industry can be very difficult. We have the testimonies of stars like Drake Bell and everything that happened at Nickelodeon portrayed in Quiet on Set. But beyond the abuses many kids suffer in different ways, there is also the way their lives change drastically to achieve stardom.

The latter was what happened to Frankie Muniz when he joined Malcolm in the Middle, as according to the Daily Mail, the actor confessed that being on the show affected his life and his family. Frankie mentioned that being part of the show is one of the reasons why his family fell apart and he has a great deal of responsibility for his parents’ divorce.
‘Malcolm took us out to LA,’ he began. ‘Me and my mom went, but my sister stayed with my dad in North Carolina.’
‘But my mom and dad ended up getting a divorce during that time. So in that sense it’s kind of sad to think about that it really did separate the family,’ he continued, visibly moved to tears. ‘I don’t know how much positive it brought to the family. I wasn’t a part of the family since I was 11 because that’s when I left,’ the child star-turned-race car driver added.
What Is Frankie Muniz Doing Now?
During the conversation, Frankie mentioned that he was able to retire from acting at the age of 19, as besides the earnings he continues to receive for his participation in the show, there came a point where the young actor was worth around $40 million. Currently, Muniz has completely stepped away from acting and now spends his days pursuing racing cars. He also dabbled in music as a drummer from 2012 to 2014.
