Over the weekend, J.Lo was spotted attending a special event hand in hand with her 17-year-old child, Emme Maribel Muñiz. The public moment between the two quickly sparked conversation online, especially among fans who have been rooting for this mother-child duo for years. And while we won’t spoil the whole story just yet, one thing’s clear: J.Lo’s love and support for Emme shines brighter than ever.

J.Lo Attends to Othello‘s Premiere With Emme

On March 23, 2025, Jennifer Lopez and Emme attended the premiere of Othello at the Barrymore Theater in Midtown Manhattan. J.Lo shared a video before arriving at the event, calling Emme her “most incredible date.”

While Jennifer dazzled in a glam, elegant outfit, Emme rocked a striped suit, complete with a tie and their signature accessories. The look was bold, stylish, and totally true to them.

J.Lo couldn’t have said it better: “Best date ever.”

Who is Emme?

Born on February 22, 2008, Emme is the child of Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony. They have a twin brother named Max and grew up surrounded by music and cameras.

From a young age, Emme showed signs of serious talent—many still remember their powerful duet with J.Lo during the 2020 Super Bowl halftime show. Since then, Emme has continued to shine, not just as a performer, but also as a young voice of individuality.

What Does It Mean to be Non-binary?

Emme identifies as non-binary, which means they don’t exclusively identify as male or female.

Non-binary people may use they/them pronouns (like Emme does) and often express themselves in ways that go beyond traditional gender norms. It’s all about embracing who they are—and Emme does just that, with style and confidence.

Jennifer Lopez has proven time and time again that she’s proud of her kids—and this red carpet moment is just another beautiful reminder. Seeing J.Lo and Emme together is not only heartwarming, but it also sends a powerful message: everyone deserves to be loved, accepted, and celebrated for exactly who they are.
