Johnny Depp is ready to move on with his life after the bitter pill that his trial with Amber Heard made him live. And what more do fans want than to see him back on the big screen, the bad news is that we are not sure that this will be a constant. Or at least not in Hollywood and what we were used to.
Johnny Depp Doesn’t Need Hollywood to Continue
Through a press conference to promote his new film Jeanne du Barry in Cannes, Johnny was questioned about whether he still felt boycotted by Hollywood, something he himself expressed with the Sunday Times in 2021, after being expelled from big franchises like Pirates of the Caribbean.
The actor assured me that he was no longer thinking about Hollywood and intended to continue his career somewhere else. “I don’t think about Hollywood, I don’t care about Hollywood, I don’t need Hollywood,” the actor said. “It’s a very strange and funny time where everyone would love to be themselves, but they can’t because they have to align themselves with the person in front of them. If you want to live that kind of life, I wish you the best. I’ll be on the other side somewhere,” he continued.
Johnny Depp also assured that everything that has been talked about him in recent years, is poorly written fiction. “In these last five, six years, most of what you’ve read is horribly written fiction,” referring to the biggest scandals he had during his marriage to Amber.
Johnny Depp was not spared from criticism during his presentation at Cannes, as a group of users attacked the event for putting a red carpet to a “woman abuser,” referring to the actor. Depp assured that people should reflect on what they read and hear.
Still, many fans are happy to see the actor active and that he is working after last year’s problems.
