In his memoirs, Matthew wrote about Julia: “I sent her three dozen red roses and the card said, ‘The only thing more exciting than the prospect of you doing the show is that I finally have an excuse to send you flowers.” In her book Friends, Lovers and the Big Terrible Thing, Perry gave details about her romance with Roberts in the ’90s. It all started, she wrote, when the latter was considering her guest role on Friends.
