The Kardashians have returned with their fourth season, and one of the most commented moments of the first episode was the heated fight between Kourtney Kardashian and Kim that has been going on since the previous season.
As you might remember, allegedly it all started when Kim agreed to work with Dolce & Gabanna on a fashion show and Kourtney got mad because they were the ones who styled her entire wedding with Travis Barker. Throughout the last season, and the beginning of this one, we’ve heard both sisters’ points of view and although it all seems a bit trivial, fans are sure there’s something deeper they’re not telling.
Is Travis Barker Behind Kourtney and Kim’s Feud?
Truth be told, the fact that Kourtney told Kim she hated her seems a bit too much for just collaborating with the design house that styled her wedding. Although Kourtney claims that what angered her was the fact that it seemed that Kim wanted to steal her thunder and be the center of attention, for all of those who have followed the Kardashian clan’s show, it’s clear that Kourtney has always had some beef with her sister.
These same fans now assure that it all has to do with Travis Barker, Kourtney’s husband. It seems that there was a time when the Blink 182 drummer had a big crush on Kim Kardashian, and fans claim Kourtney can’t live with that. So, where is this Travis thing coming from? His own words!
In his 2015 memoir Can I Say: Living Large, Cheating Death, and Drums, Drums, Drums, Travis Barker addressed his slight obsession with Kim Kardashian in the early 2000s when he was dating her friend Paris Hilton and she didn’t have a name of her own yet. The musician had recently divorced from his first wife Shanna Moakler, and was dating Paris.
But apparently, Paris was just an excuse for Travis to be near Kim, who he found “f**king hot.” Not only that, in his book he recalls how they both went on a couple of dates and that nothing intimate really happened because “with Kim, I wanted to be nothing but a gentleman to her.”
He even remembered a trip to Amsterdam where Kim was invited as Paris’ stylist: “Everywhere we went, a pack of paparazzi was following us but we didn’t care. I was having a blast and was happy to let the world know it. I kept on secretly checking out Kim telling Lil Chris: ‘I don’t care if she’s the closet girl, she’s f**king hot.”
In an interview promoting his book, Travis spoke once again about this crush on Kim Kardashian adding: “I enjoyed hanging out with Paris, but I love curvy girls, and Kim was eye candy. I had a crush on Kim, and we were flirtatious, but nothing happened…”

Although he clarified that nothing ever happened with Kim Kardashian since Travis and Kourtney made public their relationship, many fans were certain that the musician had never moved on from this crush and that, since Kim was still married to Kanye West, he had settled for the next best thing, her eldest sister.
According to the now Barker couple, they have always known each other but things got more personal after the musician moved close to Kim’s house… (weird isn’t it?) This might be too much because we’ve all seen the passion Travis and Kourtney have for each other, but it isn’t that farfetched to think that this might be a bit upsetting to Kourtney, who, to no one’s surprise, has always competed with Kim for everything.
To be honest, dating someone who had a massive thing for one of your siblings is a huge red flag, but if this is the core of Kim and Kourtney’s estranged relationship, maybe they should try some therapy. Ok, forget about that, they should have therapy regardless of the feud; their relationship has always been aggressive and toxic!
