Michael Jackson was not only a musical legend but also a loving father who had no stigma towards his children’s sexual preferences. On the contrary, he always encouraged his kids to accept themselves.
In an interview with Rolling Stone magazine, Paris Jackson, the singer’s only daughter, spoke about her father’s open-mindedness and how his support helped her come out and accept herself as bisexual.
“My dad raised me in a very open-minded house. I was eight years old. I was in love with a woman on the cover of a magazine. Instead of yelling at me like most homophobic parents would, he was joking with me saying, ‘Oh, you got yourself a girlfriend!’“ she recalled.
Although Paris acknowledged that her acceptance process was complicated because “all I had seen on TV were men and women together,” her father’s love and presence were crucial.
For this reason, she always feels very fortunate to have had a father figure who never imposed judgments and stereotypes about whom she could or could not love, as “not many kids have that experience.”
How Many Children Did Michael Jackson Have?
Michael Jackson had three children. The first was Michael Joseph Jackson Jr., known as Prince, who was born on February 13, 1997, and is the eldest son of Michael Jackson and his second wife, Debbie Rowe.

Prince is interested in production and has worked on some projects behind the scenes. In 2016, he graduated from Loyola Marymount University in Los Angeles with a degree in business.
A year later, Paris-Michael Katherine Jackson was born on April 3, 1998, as the second child of the singer and Debbie Rowe.
Paris is perhaps the most visible of the three siblings, having worked as a model, actress, and musician. In 2020, she released an album with her band, The Soundflowers.
Finally, on February 21, 2002, Prince Michael Jackson II, better known as Blanket and more recently as Bigi, was born. His mother is a surrogate whose identity has never been publicly revealed.
Bigi is the most reserved of the three siblings, maintaining a low profile and largely avoiding media attention. He lives in Calabasas, California, with his grandmother Katherine Jackson.
