Michael Madsen, the actor known for his roles in Quentin Tarantino’s Kill Bill and Reservoir Dogs, was recently arrested for domestic violence.
The incident occurred on Saturday when Madsen’s spouse called the authorities, reporting that Madsen had pushed her and subsequently locked her in a room. The 65-year-old actor was taken into custody, booked for misdemeanor domestic battery, and later released on $20,000 bail.

This isn’t Madsen’s first run-in with the law. In 2012, he was arrested for DUI and was sentenced to 30 days of rehabilitation. In 2019, he faced legal trouble again, receiving a sentence of four days in jail and five years of probation after a drunken driving crash in Malibu. Most recently, in February 2022, Madsen was arrested for misdemeanor trespassing, just one month after his 26-year-old son, Hudson, tragically died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

A representative for Madsen stated that the recent altercation “did not escalate” and he described it as “a disagreement between Michael and his wife, which we hope resolves positively for them both,” as reported by Variety.
As of now, there is no information regarding a potential trial.

Madsen has had a long and prolific career, with over 200 credits to his name. He is best known for his collaborations with Quentin Tarantino, including his roles in Kill Bill: Volume 1 and Volume 2, The Hateful Eight, and Reservoir Dogs.
