Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt’s daughter received court approval to remove “Pitt” from her full name, Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt, leaving her with just “Shiloh Jolie.”
According to TMZ, there was no formal hearing; the petition was simply granted without any drama.
The daughter of the famous ex-couple decided to change her name shortly after turning 18, filing the request just three days after her birthday on May 27.
Angelina and Brad are currently in the midst of a messy divorce, with the actress accusing Pitt of abuse and domestic violence towards her and her kids.

Other Jolie-Pitt Kids That Have Dropped Brad Pitt’s Surname
Shiloh Jolie isn’t the only one opting for a different name. In the Playbill for the new musical The Outsiders, their daughter Vivienne is listed as “Vivienne Jolie” instead of “Vivienne Jolie-Pitt.”
Zahara Marley Jolie-Pitt, who is 19, also appeared to have dropped the “Pitt” from her last name last November when she joined the Mu Pi chapter of the Alpha Kappa Alpha sorority at Spelman College. The oldest daughter introduced herself as “Zahara Marley Jolie,” according to a video shared by Essence.

These name changes come after years of tension in Pitt’s relationship with his kids since Jolie filed for divorce and sole custody in 2016.

Brad Pitt Allegedly Committed Abuse Against Angelina Jolie
The legal dispute between Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie has uncovered several details about the former couple’s relationship. This past April, the 49-year-old actress revealed that Pitt had physically assaulted her and one of their children, an accusation he denied.

The incident reportedly occurred in September 2016 while the family was flying from France to Los Angeles. This alleged abuse was the final straw that led Jolie to leave him.
The ex-couple is also involved in a separate legal battle over the custody of their children, although half of them have already reached adulthood and have dropped their father’s last name.
