According to Vanitatis, the interpreter of “Waka Waka” called a meeting in which she proposed to the parents of her children’s friends, to take the children to Miami with all expenses paid. She offered them school, housing, care, with all the comforts and luxuries for a whole year; however, and although it sounds tempting, they all refused.
Shakira also said that if they accepted, she would help the parents find a good job in Miami, so they could move with them. But nothing convinced them. The parents of Milan and Sasha’s friends simply rejected the celebrity’s proposal because the condition was to take only the little ones and since they are just children, no matter how famous she is, nothing guarantees their safety and integrity.
Despite the great fear Shakira had about how her children were going to face these changes, she found a balance. Now she and her little ones are enjoying their stay in Miami and every opportunity that presents itself in their lives, as they assured, Barcelona was already hell for them; they had to live with the press on them and the recurring comments from their peers.
Shakira’s Children Are Indifferent to Pique’s Parents
Gerard Piqué’s mother, Montserrat Bernabeu, is reportedly very upset with Shakira, claiming that she has distanced her grandchildren from them. According to Lecturas, the singer’s former mother-in-law blames her for Milan and Sasha being very indifferent to them during their last visit to Spain.
A source close to the ex-footballer’s family revealed to the Spanish magazine that during the last visit, she noticed the little ones very changed because their priority was to be with their cell phone. But what has devastated Piqué’s mom, the source pointed out, is that Milan and Sasha no longer say avi (grandfather) to Joan Piqué and ona (grandmother) to Montserrat, allegedly because Shakira would have asked them not to.
“The kids were more focused on their cell phones than on enjoying the day, and ‘Montse’ told Gerard: ‘Stop this already. It can’t be that the kids don’t even want to go to the mountain because of the phone,'” said the person close to Piqué.
