Whitney Port just shared a story that almost no one believes. After all, it involves Leonardo DiCaprio. The actress said that, for six months, she had a strange relationship with the Titanic star because they never went out; they only sent text messages to each other.
Whitney detailed that in 2009, she met Leo at a nightclub, and there, they exchanged numbers. “We were at the nightclub, and someone called me. I immediately called my mom and left the club. And then she told me, ‘Come on, let’s go next door too.’ ‘And I went with my best friend,” the actress recalled.
Unfortunately, something happened. Port’s cell phone fell into a puddle of water, which made her freak out: “Leo is going to text me, and I’ll never get it,” she thought. Then, the actress resorted to a quite reliable old hack. She put her cell phone in rice, and it worked, but there was no message from the actor.
The Hills star revealed that she believes the executive producer of The City took it upon himself to spread what she told him about DiCaprio to the press. “I think he leaked it to the press, and then (Leo) never texted me… It wasn’t an emoji moment, we were at Blackberries.”

In 2019, the actress confessed to her friend Andrea Cuttler, on her podcast With Whit that she almost had a ‘crazy night’ with Leo, she turned him down. “I’ve been dying to tell people this story for a long time! I feel like every time I tell my friends, no one believes me.”
According to Port, the actor invited her to Teddy’s, and on the way back he proposed going to her house, but she refused because she was too nervous: “I’d never had a one-night stand before. I didn’t want to be alone with him.” This decision, Whitney considers it as a mistake, because she lost a great opportunity to be with the actor she liked so much.
“I was too nervous to do it, and then I missed my chance, and it’s one of my biggest regrets in life (…) If you didn’t think it was great, now you probably do,” she said. Finally, the actress thought about whether Leo DiCaprio still remembers what was between them.
