Kristen Bell and Leighton Meester brought a slice of the Upper East Side to the 2025 SAG Awards that had us screaming, “xoxo, we missed you!”
Kristen Bell and Leighton Meester Serve Up Nostalgia
Hosting the 31st annual Screen Actors Guild Awards, Kristen Bell couldn’t resist reviving her iconic role as the voice of Gossip Girl. With her signature snarky tone, she dished out some spicy (and food-focused) tea:
“Hey everyone, Gossip Girl here. One of my sources, Lainey86, sends me this: Spotted at table 8, Jeff Goldblum has a wicked appetite, and a peek behind the curtain reveals he likes his green eggs with ham. And look who it is—not-so-lonely boy Timothée Chalamet sitting next to a hot steak, medium rare, au poivre, with a side of broccoli.”
The camera then panned to Bell crouching next to Leighton Meester, who hilariously responded, “I’m sorry, I’m just really hungry.”

Bell, who voiced Gossip Girl for all six seasons of the iconic series, and Meester, who ruled the Upper East Side as Queen B, proved their chemistry is still as sharp as a headband collection. The mini-reunion was a delightful nod to their Gossip Girl days, even if the “gossip” was mostly about food.
Bell joked,
“The popes in Cónclave were better at gossiping than us. I think we should pass the torch.”

But this isn’t the last we’ll see of these two together. Earlier this week, it was announced that Meester will join the second season of Netflix’s hit comedy Nobody Wants This, where Bell and Meester’s real-life husband, Adam Brody (aka the “sexy rabbi”), also star.

So, while the SAG Awards gave us a taste of Gossip Girl nostalgia, we’re officially starving for more.
