Gracie Abrams‘ new album ‘The Secret of Us‘ is now available on all platforms and although all of us girlies loved it, now more than ever we love her for the collaboration she did.
Gracie Abrams’ new album and the Taylor Swift’s collab
We are very excited about this new Gracie album, but even more so after having written ‘Us.‘ together, the song that ended up being a very successful and at the same time rare feature to see. This is because normally Taylor Swift doesn’t easily accept collaborations, however, this time she made an exception.

Gracie Abrams has shown that she is up to the task of this collab, in addition to having admitted in some interviews that she has been inspired many times by the music of the world-successful Taylor Swift. In an interview for Vanity Fair in 2023, Abrams said that “every formative memory in my life is paired with a Taylor Swift song that helped me get through… My boyfriend the other day did the thing where we shuffled her discography and played a song for one second… I got them all.”
The beginning of Gracie and Taylor’s friendship
After Gracie opened for Taylor on the Eras Tour on multiple dates in North America in, the friendship began to blossom, and even on one of the dates Gracie was invited on stage with Taylor because she couldn’t perform as an opener.
Abrams shared that she and Swift co-wrote “Us” in an interview with Billboard. While sharing a girls’ night out drinking at Taylor’s New York apartment, the two were inspired by the instrumentals Aaron Dessner was working on.
“Something caught our ear at the same time very hard and fast, so we ran to the piano and started writing this song… I used to fantasize about that kind of a thing as a kid.” said Gracie Abrams.

But hey, we already heard it and we loved the song and the entire album which is very Taylor’s style, so if you’re Swiftie, you’ll probably fall in love with it as much as we do.
