In a fleeting shot, Keanu Reeves’ face is barely recognizable, but trust us, it’s him, though not in a way you’d expect.
After Arthur Fleck murders Murray Franklin (Robert De Niro’s character) live on air, the audience panics and flees. Arthur then grabs a camera to deliver his final words. However, the scene cuts to the TV booth, where the production team scrambles to find something to transition to during the commercials.
On the screens in the booth, there’s a vintage commercial featuring a young Keanu Reeves. The ad, for Kellogg’s cereal, aired in 1987, showcasing Reeves early in his career.
It’s worth noting that this commercial is out of sync with the movie’s timeline, which is set around 1981. Despite this continuity error, Keanu’s appearance in Joker almost makes us forget any bad feelings about its sequel.

He also attended Avondale Alternative High School, however, he had to drop out because he alternated his education with working as an actor, he did not get his high school diploma.
