It has been revealed that five individuals have been formally charged in connection with the death of British singer Liam Payne, who tragically fell from the balcony of the CasaSur hotel in Palermo, Argentina, on October 16. Disturbing new details about the singer’s final hours have also come to light.
The announcement was made by Argentine judge Laura Bruniard, who processed the five individuals initially suspected of involvement in Payne’s death. Two of the accused, Braian Paiz, a 24-year-old waiter, and Ezequiel Pereyra, a hotel employee, are being held in preventive detention.
Both face charges of supplying narcotics and have been fined 5 million Argentine pesos (approximately $27,000 USD).
The other three accused include Roger Nores, an entrepreneur allegedly connected to the case and reportedly acting as Payne’s manager. Nores has been barred from leaving the country while the investigation continues.
Additionally, Gilda Martín, the hotel’s manager, and Esteban Grassi, the head of reception, have also been charged. All three face fines and accusations of involuntary manslaughter.

Judge Reveals Liam Payne’s Final Hours
In addition to detailing the charges against the accused, Judge Laura Bruniard shared unsettling insights into Liam Payne’s final hours at the hotel before his fatal fall. According to a report from The Mirror, Payne had reportedly requested drugs and alcohol during his stay, which severely impacted his physical stability.
“Liam was unable to remain standing in the hotel lobby due to the consumption of various substances,” court documents revealed.
“By 5 p.m., Liam was incapable of caring for himself and had clearly passed out in the hotel lobby,” the judge explained.

Hotel staff, allegedly acting without malicious intent, dragged Liam Payne to his room while he was unconscious, leaving him there alone. However, Judge Bruniard criticized this decision, stating they should have placed him in a safe location and ensured medical assistance was provided.
“They did not act with malicious intent regarding the singer’s death, but they were reckless in moving him to his room and leaving him alone in that state,” Bruniard remarked. “They created a legally unacceptable risk, and Liam Payne’s death was the result. The proper action would have been to leave him in a safe space with company until medical help arrived.”
The judge concluded that Payne’s fatal fall occurred as he attempted to leave the room via the balcony in a state of desperation. He fell from the third floor, dying instantly from severe head trauma and multiple injuries.
