After the great success that The Mandalorian has had, the Star Wars universe is preparing to immerse us in a new adventure with Din Djarin and Grogu, better known as Baby Yoda. Lucasfilm and Disney confirmed that The Mandalorian & Grogu will be the new film in the saga and its production will begin earlier than expected, as filming is planned to begin at the end of this year. And although so far it is not clear what direction the plot will take, what is a fact is that like the series, the new film will be packed with action and dazzling visual effects.
Additionally, like the almost four seasons of the Disney+ series, the film will be directed by Jon Favreau. Through a statement, Favreau expressed his excitement about the new project.
“I have loved telling stories set in the rich world created by George Lucas. “The idea of bringing the Mandalorian and his apprentice Grogu to the big screen is tremendously exciting,” he mentioned.

However, it is estimated that the film could hit theaters in 2026, taking into account that filming for the film will begin at the end of this year.
