Talented actress Hunter Schafer has just been chosen to star alongside Michelle Yeoh in Amazon’s upcoming “Blade Runner 2099” TV series.
Likewise, this series will be headed by Michelle Yeoh, who you may remember for her role in A24’s “Everything Everywhere All At Once,” which earned her an Oscar Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role.
Michelle Yeoh will be the protagonist of this major project in the Blade Runner universe, and according to Variety, she will play a character named Olwen.

Additionally, other notable figures contributing to this project include Ridley Scott himself, who will serve as a producer of the series alongside Michael Green (screenwriter of the Netflix series “Blue-Eyed Samurai,” which guarantees a strong narrative); while it will be Silka Luisa’s job to be the showrunner of the series.
Prime Video also announced that plans for a “Blade Runner 2049” sequel series are already underway, with filming set to begin in Prague and Spain, as confirmed by Collider.
Schafer’s upcoming projects include Yorgos Lanthimos’ “Kinds of Kindness,” NEON’s horror thriller “Cuckoo,” and A24’s “Mother Mary.”
