We are so heartbroken! Mr. Piffles, the beloved Chihuahua from the Piff the Magic Dragon show sadly died just before his 17th birthday, according to TMZ.

The famous and cute little dog passed away on November 8th. Although he was a rescued dog, the magician from the ‘America’s Got Talent’ gave a heartbreaking confession on how he feels Mr. Piffles rescued him more.
There are no further details on the tragic death, but it’s not that hard to just suppose it was about the age, since 16 years for a dog of Mr. Piffles’ breed is approximately 84 human years.

“For over 15 years I’ve had the privilege and the pleasure of being upstaged and outshone night after night by Mr. Piffles. He came into my life when I had nothing, and set me on the path to a career I could only dream of. In the beginning, I may have rescued him, but in the end, he rescued me,” Piff shared with TMZ.

Piff the Magic Dragon Show Story
John van der Put, the British magician created the character of Piff the Magic Dragon in 2008. Dressed in a dragon costume, Piff’s deadpan humor and impressive magic tricks quickly set him apart from other performers. His act gained popularity in the UK, and he soon became a regular at comedy clubs and festivals.

In 2009, Piff’s act took a new turn with the addition of Mr. Piffles, a Chihuahua he adopted from a shelter in Edinburgh. Mr. Piffles, known as the World’s Only Magic Performing Chihuahua, became an integral part of the show. Despite initial challenges, Mr. Piffles’ deadpan expression and charm won over audiences, making him a beloved sidekick.

Piff and Mr. Piffles’ big break came in 2015 when they appeared on the 10th season of “America’s Got Talent.” Their performances wowed the judges and viewers, earning them a spot in the finals. This exposure catapulted them to international fame and led to a residency at the Flamingo Las Vegas.
For the Piff the Magic Dragon magician, the show must go on as he previously paid the ridiculous amount of 60K dollars to clone Mr. Piffles Chihuahua, so he doesn’t miss one of the most essential parts of the show.
