Who is Junior H, one of the representatives of corridos tumbados?
Junior H is a Mexican singer of corridos tumbados and one of the great exponents of the genre, which, has become one of the most important today.
His real name is Antonio Herrera Pérez, and he is originally from Cerano, Guanajuato. He moved to Utah, United States, at a very young age, and 12, he developed such a strong attachment to music that it led him to compose his first songs.

Antonio Herrera was born on February 7, 2000, and at a young age, he gained quite significant fame.
During his high school years, he worked as a cook at Wendy’s; however, he never set music aside. He learned to play the accordion and guitar by watching tutorials on the Internet.
In his free time, he composed and recorded songs in private until he dared to publish his first tracks on YouTube under the pseudonym Junior H, including some covers that started to attract users’ attention.
It was not until February 2019 that Junior H made his debut in the music scene with his first album, “Mi vida en un cigarro,” which included his first hit, “No Eh cambiado,” which garnered more than 17 million views until this very moment.
The popularity he gained from that first release led him to the record label Rancho Humilde, a label recognized for also being home to one of the leading representatives of corridos tumbados, Natanael Cano.

This led to a collaboration between the two artists, and in 2020, Junior H released his second studio album, “Atrapado en un Sueño,” which includes several hits that have amassed more than 140 M streams on platforms.
At the moment, Junior H is one of the most prominent musicians in the corridos tumbados genre amongst Natanael Cano and, of course, Peso Pluma.
Currently, Junior H holds 26 million monthly listeners and over 3.3 Billion streams of his top 10 most listened-to songs, mostly thanks to his collaborations and one of his most famous albums: $AD BOYZ 4 LIFE II.
Are Peso Pluma and Junior H rivals?
They are not! In fact, they have made several collaborations together with songs like LADY GAGA’, ‘Rompe la Dompe’, ‘LA DURANGO’, and ‘A Tu Manera.’
Talking about LUNA, a song featuring Junior H, Peso Pluma stated in an interview:
“Its a very special song for me because i’ve done it years ago. I was just saving the release for the right moment with the right person, and I just found Junior H the right person to do this feature with.”
Right now, Junior H is having the $AD BOYZ MANIA US TOUR 2024, his great comeback after the successfull North American tour in 2023.
