Attending the Olympic Games is the dream of most athletes and sports fans around the world, however the road to the sports event is limited by the high cost involved in the entire process of preparation and training.
Although in developing countries such as Latin America sport does not have enough support as countries considered rich, international Olympic athletes continue to face difficulties before and after the games.
Jack Laugher: The Diver Who Supports His Career Through OnlyFans
The case of British diver Jack Laugher is one of the most striking, as he is considered an elite athlete who has been on the podium three times, winning a gold medal for synchronized high, an individual silver medal at Rio 2016, and a bronze medal at Tokyo 2020 for individual jumping.

Laugher, the first Olympic diving champion of Team Great Britain to reveal in an interview prior to his participation in Paris 2024 that he has an Only Fans account, which has even been key to improving his quality of life and supporting his career as an athlete.
Only Fans Improved His Quality of Life
As he said in an interview with the DailyMail, the Briton opened his profile on the popular adult content platform just after the Tokyo Olympics. Since then, he has posted more than 50 videos and 500 photographs, including content of the trained athlete, showering and others of a sexual nature.
This type of publication, as he explained, has allowed him to improve his quality of life, especially if it is content in which he has used his training swimsuit, for which he has received tips (extra payment for the subscription) of 380 euros.
In his interview, Laugher explained that despite being an athlete” there is not much money in diving”. “So I’ll do anything to make a little more money. I have something that people want, and I’ll gladly sell it. It’s a very, very good way for me to make some extra money,” he said.

As a child, Jack’s father told him that if he won a gold medal he was paid with one million pounds (more than 1.1 million dollars today). But when he won the gold medal, he discovered that the reward was not close to him. Thanks to his excellent results he received 23,000 euros per year, an insufficient amount for an elite athlete.

“Now I’m almost 30 years old and I’m in the top three in the world. 33,000 euros a year, is obviously a good salary and very worthy of living, but it is not the sporting salary that you normally imagine,” he said in the interview. It should be noted that the content that Laugher on Only Fans does not differ much from what he shares on Instagram, but the latter is not camouflaged.
The case of the British diver portrays a situation that several athletes face. In Mexico, divers Andrés Villarreal and Diego Balleza also opened profiles on Only fans to raise funds for their international competitions due to lack of resources.
